Today we celebrated Stephen’s 9th 19th birthday. The sun was shining, so his white jeans got their first outing and I ordered some summer cocktails in Stravaigin. My Caipirinha was splendid.  He had a Mojito.  I don’t understand mint flavoured food and drink (apart from mints of course). Why not just have a glass of mouthwash or suck a polo whilst drinking water?  Don’t get me started on mint flavoured ice-cream.  Unless you are on a date with someone with stinkin’ breath (or you have bad breath), there is no need for such minty nonsense.

Anyway… other drinks consumed:

Perrier Jouet N.V

Great all rounder… fruity, yet with enough brioche and almond flavours to satisfy yeast fans.  Bubbles not aggressive at all.  No heartburn.

Addlestones Cider

Colour of this reminded me of first pee in the morning when dehydrated.  Tastes of apple and banana  mashed together (babyfood?).   Disappointed to find out that Addlestones ain’t a real cider, because it’s made from apple concentrate.  Not part of the 5 a day then.
